Narus Valley is known for its abundant wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and zebras. It’s also a great spot for birdwatching and spotting large buffalo herds. There are good chances of seeing big cats hunting as well. After lunch at the lodge, return to Narus Valley for an evening game drive. Kidepo Valley National Park offers excellent observation points with binoculars. After lunch and a short rest at the lodge, visit the hot springs in Kidepo Valley. Explore the Uganda-Sudan border area and, if you’re lucky, spot giant ostriches. Seasonal rivers might cause minor delays if it’s raining. Return to the lodge for the night. The IK people live in fenced villages and will share their traditional dances and crafts with you. In the afternoon, visit the Karamojong homesteads, known as Manyatta. Interact with the elders, learn about their lifestyle, and contribute to their social welfare. This visit provides a deep insight into their way of life, including activities like grazing and milking cows. On arrival, enjoy an en-route game drive through Para, the northern section of the park, where you can spot various mammals and possibly big cats. In the afternoon, go for another game drive in the park. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Lodge: Murchison River Lodge Start your day with a morning game drive to see animals like buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, and antelopes. There’s also a chance to spot large cats hunting. Return to the lodge for lunch, then embark on an afternoon boat cruise on the River Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. On the cruise, look out for crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and other animals that come to the river to drink. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Lodge: Murchison River Lodge Depart early from the lodge with a picnic lunch for a boat cruise in the Delta area of the Nile. Here, you can see herds of buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Jackson’s Hartebeest, giraffes, and elephants. You’ll also spot various bird species. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive on your way back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight. Meal Plan: Full board Lodge: Murchison River Lodge After breakfast, fly back to Entebbe International Airport. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time to visit the top of Murchison Falls or stop by Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a white rhino tracking experience. Have lunch en route before heading to the airport for your departure flight.
