Detailed Itinerary

Day 1
Pick up from Entebbe International Airport to Kibale National Park.

 Jimnat Gorilla Tour Guide will pick you up from the Airport  to Kibale National Park through Kampala – Fort Portal Highway. Kibale National Park is a home of 13 different Primates including Endangered Chimpanzees, different spies of Monkeys, Mangabeys and pottoes. 

Check in Kibale Forest Lodge and have lunch and refresh, after go for a Nature and community guided walk through Bigodi  Swamp. Along the walk expect to see Birds (Shoebill) since the swamp is known as a Haven for Birds. Go back for Dinner and Resting.

 

Day 2
Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After Breakfast Jimnat Gorilla Tours’ guide will take you to the headquarters of Kibale Forest National Park at Kanyanchu for a short briefing where you will be assigned to a ranger who will lead you on the hike to the tropical Rainforest in Kibale for Chimpanzee tracking for a given time.

During that time you be given 1 hour to watch the Primates, 1 hour to  take photos with the mighty primates. After We exit the park and head back to the Lodge for lunch and we travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We shall have an Overnight at Ride for a Woman.

Day 3
Gorilla Trekking

Breakfast. Transfer to the Visitor’s information centre of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Buhoma for a short briefing where you will join a group of 8 people and be assigned a ranger that will lead you through the Impenetrable Rainforest for Gorilla Trekking. Feel free to ask any questions because the ranger will give you detailed answers. You will be given 1 hour to watch the Gorillas, 1 hour take photos and see the silverbucks. After, we head back to the lodge for lunch and refresh.

In the afternoon, we shall visit the Batwa Community. The Batwa are former forest dwellers who used to live with the Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You’ll experience their lifestyle  which involves food gathering and hunting. Then, go back to the Ride for a Woman lodge.

Day 4
Travel back to the Airport

After having breakfast early in the morning, we shall travel back to Entebbe. Enroute and have Lunch at Lake View Hotel in Mbarara and continue, we shall have a stopover at the Equator for pictures then drive straight to the Airport.
